It felt like it took forever, but summer is finally here. June 21st saw us through the Summer Solstice and brought with it scorching temperatures and dreams of beach getaways and lounging by pools. And speaking of water-filled fun, we have some swimwear brands that we’re absolutely obsessing over this season.
We just learned of Summersalt this spring, but the brand has been around since 2017. The direct-to-consumer brand offers premium swimwear made out of eco-friendly materials without the hefty price tag. We’re talking $98 for a quality swimsuit. It’s almost unheard of. Their style, The Sidestroke, sold out fast when it first launched in 2017, and is still a favourite amongst shoppers. We also love that Summersalt makes swimwear styles for all women, not just those of us who are built like Victoria’s Secret Models.
Just last week, an Instagram by Rosie Huntington-Whitely had this swimwear brand sell out of Rosie’s favourite style in mere minutes. The brand was popular before though. Back in the 1980s, the label went by the name Hunza, was a wildly popular fashion label, with Julia Roberts even wearing one of their dresses in the ever iconic, Pretty Woman. In 2015, the Hunza G was reborn with one size fits all swimwear.
We first discovered Normaillot back in 2018, when we spied it on TS Alum, Olivia Bannock at Art Basel. This summer, it’s all we want to wear to make a statement by the water. The Turkey based brand now sells on VictoriasSecret.com and has become a favourite amongst fashion influencers.
